GeoMOOSE 是个 Web 客户端，也是个 JavaScript 框架，用来显示分布式地图数据。GeoMOOSE 是个模块化，可配置，有着大量核心功能包的一个工具。GeoMOOSE 是个轻量级的工具，可以同时处理大量的用户，有着大量的层，大量的服务，但是并不会加重服务器的负担。
GeoMOOSE 核心是使用 JavaScript 和 HTML 编写的，所以 GeoMOOSE 支持基础的 web 服务器（Nginx, Apache, IIS）。
