It is a free and open source alternative to SugarCRM Professional Edition and is based on the latest release of SugarCRM Community Edition 6.5 with many extra modules. It is fully compatible with SugarCRM 6.5.

SuiteCRM was released on 21st October 2013 as version 7.0 and there are upgrade paths available for existing SugarCRM CE users.
